Self-starter finance professional with nearly 10 years of experience in assessing, structuring, and executing high-impact investment transactions from the perspectives of DFI lenders (e.g., Belgian DFI BIO-INVEST) and SME borrowers in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa (such as La Laiterie du Berger in Senegal). Adept at navigating multicultural environments and managing ambiguity, my track record includes complex investment transactions involving diverse stakeholders, including DFIs (BIO-Invest, FMO, Proparco, DEG, FinnFund, etc.), donors (MasterCard Foundation, KfW, USAID, USADF), technical partners (GIZ, Enabel, AFD, etc.), and commercial African banks. Most projects also focused on smallholder farming and the development of local value chains. My work spans from investment project design and financial structuring to document drafting, due diligence management, negotiation, and documentation. I also provide support in project monitoring activities. The sectors I have been involved in are diverse: agribusiness (dairy, mineral water and juices, cashew nuts, tomatoes, shea, etc.) as well as services (hotels, healthcare, banking, and microfinance). Since late 2023, as an independent consultant, I have been offering advisory services to SME clients in West Africa (Senegal and Ivory Coast) to support their fundraising efforts and to lenders and donors in fund allocation.
