I currently manage the South Sudan country portfolio for a global DFID-funded investment that aims to build national capacity in disasters and emergencies preparedness response. Prior to this, I was a Reporting and Operations Officer within the United Nations Mission in South Sudan. I have two post graduate degrees, one in International Relations and another in International Law, and have also worked for a decade as a researcher, journalist and film maker in some of the world’s most conflict-affected areas including but not limited to Afghanistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Burma/Myanmar and Sri Lanka. I have produced award winning content for major international media outlets such as Time, New York Times, BBC, HDNet and World Politics Review among other places.
