Michael McGrath is Country Director for SNV in Tanzania. He has 29 years’ experience working in international development in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Pacific. Sectoral expertise in human rights, agriculture and rural development, water and sanitation, health, and environmental management. His specific skill areas include participatory planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, capacity building, law and advocacy. Michael has 17 years’ experience as Country Director, as well as a year as Interim Regional Director for South and Central Asia (covering Afghanistan, Central Asia, Sri Lanka, Nepal/ Bhutan and Bangladesh) and sub-regional director for Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand (MST). With Save the Children he has been based in Palestine, Armenia, Tajikistan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malawi, Bangladesh and Myanmar, and with other organisations in Vietnam, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Tanzania.
