Moussa Diarra

In my current position of director of the Malian Press Agency, I‘ve the opportunity of a large view on the national and regional media scope and to manage around fourteen local correspondents. As previously Communications Officer ay the World Bank Group (WBG), my responsibilities have included the planning, development and implementation of effective communications strategies to raise awareness, knowledge and understanding of the WBG, in Mali. It has been my responsibility to promote and improve the image of the organization. In addition, my role has involved initiating and maintaining relations with key stakeholders such as Media, Civil Society, Women’s organizations, government bodies, parliamentarians, academics, and the Youth. I have identified opportunities to forge strategic partnerships, both, within the Bank and outside the institution to extend dialogue and strengthen the close and effective presence of the institution. I have practiced as a journalist and a broadcaster for over a decade. This practice has provided me with knowledge, experience and contacts. Before joining the World Bank I worked as an editor at the Pan-African News Agency Panapress.
