I possess a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Jimma University and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nursing from Ethiopia. As a Public Health Officer, I have amassed over 22 years of experience in diverse health-related programming roles within international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and the United Nations. Throughout my career, I have effectively supervised, coached, and mentored healthcare providers in critical areas such as Reproductive Health, Chronic Care for HIV/AIDS, as well as Child Health and Nutrition interventions. My international experience also encompasses infectious disease management and surveillance, particularly during the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. My background in Public Health and healthcare management within the developmental sector has afforded me a diverse and comprehensive skill set. With extensive expertise in health and nutrition thematic areas, I have cultivated strong collaborative relationships with governmental entities in Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, and Mozambique. My primary focus areas include health system strengthening, supply chain management, and responses to migration-related humanitarian emergencies within development contexts. I have had the privilege of working with esteemed organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Plan International.
