Muthithi is an experienced business development and strategic partnerships practitioner with unrivalled expertise in agriculture risk management, developing derisking mechanisms, microinsurance and in building smallholder resilience. For over 11 years of experience, Muthithi has provided technical assistance in agriculture risk assessment and scoring, microinsurance product development and in the deployment and distribution of derisking mechanisms for agricultural finance including financing irrigation tech. Her experience in integrated risk management has seen her develop mass-market and farmer-focused advisory and extension solutions that have been deployed through digital platforms within multi stakeholder projects. She is passionate about gender and youth empowerment, building smallholder farmer resilience and enabling access to inclusive finance for African agribusinesses. Muthithi has a Masters in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi.
