Currently, he is consulting as Senior Technical Officer - Resource Mobilization and Partnerships at the AU ECOSOCC Secretariat in Lusaka, Zambia, where he plays a central role in securing and managing resources for transformative programs across the continent. His work involves designing and executing fundraising strategies, building partnerships, and ensuring that ECOSOCC programs align with both donor priorities and the African Union's strategic goals. He leads the development of a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy that secures funding from bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and the private sector. He crafts tailored, high-quality proposals that meet donor requirements while advancing AU priorities. Additionally, he maintains and strengthens long-term partnerships with existing and prospective donors, ensuring transparent communication through regular reports and updates. He also facilitates forums to showcase ECOSOCC's impact, attracting further donor support. Prior to this, Patrick worked as a Grants, Partnerships, and Business Development Manager with the International Medical Corps in the Palestine Gaza Strip, where he spearheaded resource mobilization efforts, successfully raising over US$100 million. He managed an annual portfolio of over US$80 million, leading planning, design, and bid development for various projects addressing the effects of conflict, natural disasters, and economic decline. Patrick played a key role in strategic partnerships, developing and implementing restricted funding plans, and overseeing resource mobilization for the country program. He excelled in proposal development, partnerships, fundraising, donor liaison, communication, and reporting, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and high-quality reporting standards. Previously, Patrick served as a Resource Mobilization and Advocacy Lead Consultant with the Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) in Lusaka, Zambia, where he spearheaded resource mobilization and business development efforts, successfully raising over US$200 million in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. He provided strategic direction for fundraising initiatives across the continent, led proposal development processes, tracked and analyzed funding opportunities, and provided guidance on legal and donor compliance standards. Patrick established and maintained grants management tools, streamlined operational processes, and enhanced accountability within the organization.
