Designed a winning proposal to develop three horticultural value chains using climate smart agriculture approaches in Togo. The $29.9 million project, funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), will run from FY 2024 through FY 2028. Designed a winning proposal to work on climate smart approaches and traceability in the cocoa value chain of Nigeria, which for Corus International is a new, expansion country. The $21.3 million project, funded by USDA will run from FY 2023 through FY 2027. Led technical and programmatic efforts to develop Corus' refreshed Rural Economies and Agricultural Livelihoods strategy and associated theory of change, with a focus on technical learnings on the environment, market systems, and agriculture. Spearheaded client consultations with USAID and USDA. The refreshed strategy has resulted in over $100 million in new program revenue from a diversified donor base in several agricultural value chains (hot peppers, cassava, okra, cocoa, coffee, aquaculture, and cauliflower) Led WCF efforts to incorporate environmental perspectives into its member company sustainability commitments, including climate smart cocoa and ending tropical deforestation in the cocoa supply chain, resulting in $6M in additional revenue for the Foundation and direct funding to member company programs. Directly led the successful recruitment of several important member companies and supported the technical and programmatic engagement of our 100+ members, including Board companies such as Mars-Wrigley, Mondelēz, Nestlé, Ferrero, Hershey, Barry Callebaut, Olam and Cargill.
