Financial, Procurement, Risk, and Operational Management. • Compliance and risk management, including developing, implementing, and continuously improving practices at a process, systems, and entity level, • Assessing and setting up financial management systems, strengthening internal controls, developing budgets and supporting programme-based budgeting, • Program financial management, including ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting and updates, tracking expenditures, ensuring timely accounting and reconciliation of all transactions, preparing Financial Reports and forecasts to, and contributing to program-wide reports • Ensuring appropriate risk management strategies, including drafting and maintaining Risk Management Plans. • Fraud and anti-corruption management across all financial and procurement activities. Institutional and Organisational Development. • Strategic planning, • Organisational and institutional support and assessment, • Capacity building, training, and support. Project management and systems development and support • Management and monitoring of project and research grants • Project planning, budgeting, and administration, • National, Regional, and government systems support and development, • Project coordination and management for PFM reforms with MDAs and SOEs Accomplishments - Setting up effective financial and procurement systems in CSOs and SOEs - Development of policies and procedures - Streamlining systems and ensuring efficiency in SOEs. -Contribute to formulation and support implementation of Public Financial Management (PFM) reforms - Management and monitoring of project and research grants for a range of funders such as USAID, MCA, KFW, NIH, Embassies, joint funds, TGF and FCDO, ensuring efficient financial management, including providing accurate budgeting and forecasting and updates, tracking expenditures, ensuring timely accounting and reconciliation of all transactions, preparing financial reports and forecasts to, and contributing to program-wide reports - Capacity building of staff in Ministries, CSOs, organisation staff, and stakeholders.
