Pramod is a highly experienced major infrastructure project / program manager with proven track record in business development, team creation and management, commercial management, and project management and governance. Over 25+ years of his career with SMEC, Pramod led, delivered and contributed to a significant number of major projects and opportunities in the infrastructure sector worldwide on a variety of business development, engineering design, project management, project governance, and team management roles in more than 25 countries. Pramod is a commercially focused leader with a strong technical background and client focus; he ensures the clients’ objectives and needs are at the forefront of all business activities. With an extensive history in both business development and major project delivery where he has demonstrated his robust decision-making ability; proven commercial negotiating skills; technical and commercial analytical skills; innovative ideas and long-term strategic future thinking. He brings a broad range of technical skills in project management, project controls, multi-discipline engineering, procurement and commercial strategy. This enables him to communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels; lead and challenge teams in finding optimal solutions; and collaborate with clients. Pramod has successfully delivered and project managed 100s of major multidisciplinary and complex proposals and projects involving planning, design and implementation of dams & hydropower, integrated urban infrastructure development, water resources, water and wastewater assets, irrigation and drainage systems, and transport infrastructure development and improvement projects in Australia and overseas. He is passionate to building and leading high performing project teams to provide excellent service and value to Clients and communities. Currently, Pramod is SMEC Project Manager for Sydney Metro Wester Sydney Airport – SSTOM and is responsible for internal project management and reporting. Recently, as SMEC Project Manager for three consulting services contracts for Snowy 2.0 Pumped Hydro Expansion Project involving design review, Secondment to Owners Team, and Master Services Agreement, he achieved excellent outcomes for the project and SMEC though impressive project management, design review coordination and management, resource management, commercial management, client relationship management and leadership skills. Pramod's previous roles as Senior Project Manager, Project Director, Team Leader, Functional Manager, General Manager (Technical), and International Water Manager has provided him with the right mix of experience, technical knowledge, and proven skills to create and develop high performing teams, successful contract negotiations, and deliver complicated proposals and projects in demanding multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment. Extensive project management, engineering design management, business development, procurement management, and contract administration knowledge and skills were developed through applying PMBOK principles and strong stakeholder relationship management skills to international and Australian projects funded by multilateral and bilateral funding agencies, national and state governments and provide sector clients. While working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and multicultural team environments, he generously shared his knowledge and experience among colleagues, mentored a number of young and experienced professionals.
