Rebecca Price (She / Her)

Rebecca Price has more than twenty years’ experience in technical and program management of global health programming with a focus on ensuring implementation excellence across U.S. government-funded projects and on supporting localization efforts by building the capacity of local organizations throughout the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. As USAID Country Coordinator to Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Vanuatu, Ms. Price advised the U.S. Ambassador to PNG, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu and other U.S. Department of State and USAID leadership on all health-focused development issues, leading implementation of the Agency’s HIV, Global Health Security (GHS), COVID-19, neglected tropical diseases (NTD), nutrition, and organizational development programming. Ms. Price’s primary focus across the countries she’s supported is to develop capacity across local civil society and non-governmental organizations to ensure the sustainability of global health activities; her significant expertise across project implementation, financial and operational management, and technical leadership across infectious diseases make her a “unicorn” of sorts, able to fluently speak the language of budgets, operations, and technical deliverables alike. Recognized as a thought leader across global health development circles, Ms. Price’s superior leadership, diplomacy, technical expertise, and exceptional project management and technical writing skills make her a sought-after resource across bi-, multilateral, and global agencies.
