I have just concluded my assignment in Samoa under the Ministry of Health as Senior Procurement Specialist. My core responsibility was to strengthen the Procurement and Supply Chain Management system that included the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain. My responsibilities included building capacity of the Procurement Unit and Pharmaceutical Division. My responsibilities also included providing technical support with other health products such as laboratory, dental and imaging supplies. I was also providing technical assistance in procurement of consulting services, non-consulting services and construction works. Previously I worked as Director of Procurement for the National Pharmaceutical Procurement Unit, Sierra Leone. My key responsibility were management of the procurement process of pharmaceuticals and other related products starting from quantification, procurement through to receipt of the commodities.
