Ricardo Pineda is a Project Director with over 40 years of experience in the design, acquisition, development, management, and implementation of private secor and USAID-funded projects. He has extensive experience in staff management, program planning and budgeting, and delivering consulting services. Ricardo’s leadership brings a strong private sector perspective, coupled with the ability to encourage risk-averse firms to explore new opportunities. He is also an expert in structuring partnerships with market actors across both the private and public sectors. Ricardo has significant experience in impact investing, with a focus on green finance. His professional background includes assignments in Brazil, Honduras, the USA, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Jamaica, Haiti, Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. He holds an MBA in Agribusiness from the University of São Paulo, Brasil. Currently based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Ricardo serves as the Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID Sustainable Agribusiness Activity. He has a proven track record in managing multicultural and diverse technical and operational teams. Ricardo is fluent in English, Portuguese, and his native Spanish, with strong communication and presentation skills.
