Richard Tomiak

I am British, 68 years old with 40 years of experience in the power sector. This includes 20 years working as an Energy Sector Economist in a wide range of countries, with a particular focus on power sector reform, the development and operation of electricity markets and, more recently, on energy efficiency and transposition of EU Directives. During the course of my utility career I held a number of senior management positions and worked in the Project Analysis Dept. of the Inter-American Development Bank. Since 2001 I have worked as an independent consultant in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe.
