Robert is a seasoned off-grid professional with over 25 years in the sector having worked on a range of projects and programmes in approximately 15 different countries. He has extensive consulting, programme management and business experience having worked extensively with the full suite of DRE technologies (Mini-grids, SHS, ICS, biogas, etc.). His experience covers market readiness, project development, access to finance, private sector support as well as cross-cutting issues such as gender, ESG, poverty and economic development. He has worked for most prominent multi-lateral (World Bank, IFC, UNDP, AfDB, GGGI) and Bi-lateral (GIZ, FCDO, FMO, KfW, etc.) organisations.
