Senior MSME finance expert with over 29 years’ international experience, specializing in MSME partial credit guarantee schemes. with substantial experience in the design and delivery of PCGs worldwide. Recently completed involvement in four Guarantee schemes, two directly contracted to the World bank in South Africa and Lesotho and two financed by the World Bank in Bangladesh and Jamaica. Also completed a new scheme in Azerbaijan at the end of 2020 and completed a scheme in the Bahamas. Currently working on a feasibility assessment for a Regional Guarantee Scheme in 16 countries in the Caribbean. Team leader for the design and delivery/evaluation & amendment of over 24 schemes worldwide and has in depth knowledge of both individual and portfolio schemes. Consistently ensuring sustainability, transparency, outreach, volumes and building capacity • Substantial experience of supervising, mentoring and developing professional staff in developing countries e.g revolving team of 13 local staff in Syria. • Highly motivated leader with strong team building qualities. Have successfully built & led effective management teams in the UK and overseas. Worked with World Bank, Inter American Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, DFID, KFW, Jamaican Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank and the EC.Team leader for 40 MEURO (increased to 120 MEURO) bank capacity building project and Team Leader for Capacity Building programme in the largest bank in Poland.
