My work history embraces over 22 years of experience (including 9 years as Globally Recruited Staff and consultant) on leading positions at various multidisciplinary programs funded by USAID, FAO, EU, GIZ, ADA, WB and implemented by international organizations such are International Potato Center (CIP), CGIAR, Chemonics International, World Vision, UNDP, UMCOR, Fintrac International, etc. I have implemented 41 scientific and R4Dprojects in purpose to support economic growth and poverty reduction through introduction of scientific achievements in practice, collaborating with representatives of international and state organizations, local self-government institutions, community-based organizations, business sector, academia, sub grantees, farmers and SMEs and covered more than 2M direct and indirect beneficiaries. Since 2014, working as Regional Leader for Central Asia and Caucasus/Senior Scientist at the International Potato Center (CIP), leading CIP’s Regional Offices for CAC, I have established two representations of CIP in Uzbekistan and Georgia, facilitated accreditation of CIP in Uzbekistan, obtaining diplomatic status in country and managing both programs, established two national programs with governments of Uzbekistan and Georgia and mobilized up to 4 million USD (donors USAID, ADA, CGIAR, GIZ, etc.). Having managed the USAID programs in Central Asia and the Caucasus on the position of Chief of Party during 2014-2022 years, I have acquired extensive experience in managing full cycle of program implementation, providing the overall leadership, management, and general technical direction of the USAID program, ensuring an integrated vision and implementation of the proposed project’s components. To serve as the key liaison between USAID, counterparts, and international and local partners, and as the main point of contact between the project, government of Georgia, Uzbekistan, USAID, and CIP headquarters. After series of successful program implementation and fundraising actions I gained higher proficiency in regional leading, fundraising, management and have been selected as WP2s co- leader at CGIAR/CWANA (Central and West Asia and north Africa) region in OneCG. My education background includes Doctoral degree in agriculture majoring in Agroecology and Biotechnology and PhD in Microbiology and Plant Protection that has helped me multiple times to employ the most appropriate multidisciplinary methods and approaches while tackling challenges. I often apply my deductive and inductive reasoning skills to achieve the best results in my everyday work. Since 1994, being graduated from the Tbilisi State University I am involved in a field context incorporating agricultural development programs; while working at the Academia system gained good experience and knowledge related to state programs in close collaboration with the Ministries of Agriculture and Environmental Protection. My PhD and doctoral thesis are on production of seed/planting materials of agricultural crops. I always demonstrate strong leading, planning, managing and decision-making skills and ability to work independently or in a team at all levels. I am accustomed to fast-paced environment where deadlines are priority and handling multiple jobs is the norm. I have excellent organizational and time-management skills with flexibility and experience required to adjust to rapidly changing schedules.
