Sharmin Khan

Currently working as the Legal Consultant with the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL), under the PAR programme. Prior to joining ICNL, served as the Deputy Country Director for Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion Bangladesh programme for several years. By profession, I am a lawyer with specialization in Human Rights Law, with a long and wide ranging experience of working with different international organizations. Most of her work has been in the area of Human Rights encompassing a broad range of responsibilities at various national and international fora - with a sound knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of local government management and public administration which is necessary to establish and maintain contacts with relevant counterparts in local and national government at the most senior levels, other donors and to facilitate cooperative relations with private sector representatives. In addition, I have worked as the protection/ safe guarding focal point for several years. I have received my MHRL, LLM and LLB from the Dhaka Intl. University, Bangladesh and also holds a B.A. honors from the Brock University, St. Catharine’s, Canada in Public Relations & Administrations.
