Summary

I am a facilitator and pracademic for International Civilian Crisis Management, incl. NZ PSPLA licensed Security Consultant, and accredited practitioner with ISRM, ASIS, INSSA, and GIZ. My focus centres on the interplay between the Human Dimension (people) and the Human Domain (operational environment), and their relationship to the Human Security paradigm. In the context of an operational environment, my aim is to provide insight into the workings of a given society, with a view to risk reduction, understanding, communication, cultural competency, engagement, and cooperation. With over three decades experience, I have provided consultancy, facilitation, training, and research on behalf intergovernmental actors, national police authorities, state development agencies, international police missions, technical assistance NGOs, and the Private Security Sector. I have an interdisciplinary background in International Relations, with a focus on International Security, Security Sector Reform (SSR), Community Security-Social Cohesion, and Security Risk Management (SRM).
