Simon Mercer

Simon is a strategic and inclusive leader with 18 years progressively responsible research and consultancy experience in the climate change, environment and development sectors. He has specific technical expertise in climate change adaptation, natural resource management and theory-based evaluation, and has experience of working with donors, research institutions, private sector organisations, NGOs and policy makers to deliver improved environmental outcomes on the ground. Simon has strong quantitative and qualitative research skills supported by a track record of successfully employing mixed methods approaches in leading research, technical consultancy and evaluation projects. He is a skilled communicator and accomplished writer, with extensive experience of synthesising complex research outputs for policy stakeholders, as well as workshop facilitation and presentations.
