I have been working for development / charity organizations in Bangladesh since 1993. The last organization I worked for was Bangladesh Safe Agro Food Efforts Foundation (BSAFE Foundation), where I was the head of a project titled "Strengthening Health Policy Systems in Bangladesh" funded by USAID and technically managed by DAI Inc. USA. Project implementation abruptly stopped in late February 2025 following an order to suspend USAID operations in Bangladesh issued by the new US presidential administration. In the past I worked for Waterkeepers Bangladesh, Gonoshasthaya Kendra, German Doctors, Price Waterhouse Coopers, CARE Bangladesh, ActionAid Bangladesh, HEKS/EPER and other organizations. I also worked as consultant in different organizations. The positions I held were Country Representative, Program Director, Project Director, Monitoring & Evaluation Expert/Specialist, Site Coordinator, Program Manager etc. I am an expert in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. I have skills in partnership development and capacity building. In addition to my current involvement in the fields of food safety, in I have experience in environmental governance, poverty alleviation, women empowerment, health, HIV/AIDS, adolescent and youth development. I worked for marginalized population, including ethnic minorities, transport workers, sex workers, MSM/MSW, transgender, PWID, PLHIV, Rohingya (refugees) etc. I have experience of managing projects funded by USAID, UNICEF, UNDP, WFP, WB, and others and familiar with their reporting systems.
