• 25 years of professional experience in international relations; trade policy, foreign economic relations, European Union policies and integration process; coordination and developing national policies in line with the EU; • Direct involvement in the process of accession of Croatia to the European Union throughout the whole process stages - potential candidate / candidate country for EU membership, experience in functioning in the European Union - member of the Trade Policy Committee of the European Council; • Vast practical experience in negotiating process; • First-hand comprehensive horizontal experience with the accession process including negotiations, legal harmonization, awareness building; • Head of Working Group for Preparation of Negotiation in Chapter 30 - External Relations, member of the Working Group for Chapter 11 - Agriculture, work on negotiations in Chapter 29 - Customs Union; • Extensive experience in negotiating processes and process of harmonization of legislation with the acquis (i.e. European Union, World Trade Organization, CEFTA, free trade agreements); • Experience in transferring best practices and lessons learnt from recent Croatian accession experience as well as capacity building - senior expert assignments in support to the EU accession process in candidate countries (Serbia, Montenegro, Albania), TAIEX expert and lecturer on international conferences; • Deep knowledge of region’s administration and legislative systems; Well acquainted with key players in government bodies in the region;
