Tenna Shitarek has a MA Degree in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Manchester, UK, and BSc in Agricultural Engineering from Alemaya University of Agriculture, Ethiopia. Tenna has a range of experience and in-depth understanding of Agricultural Development, land tenure and environmental issues, Green Economy, disaster risk assessment and reduction, national and international food security risks, and associated needs to respond to climate change in East Africa including Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. In addition, he has experience in assessing and integrating cross-cutting issues for successful project implementation including for example gender, disaster mitigation, adaptation and health issues, and is well acquainted and experienced with OCHA, EU and DFID/UKAID and USAID evaluation parameters and frameworks.
