Thomas B. Kanneh is a macro-fiscal economist with graduate degrees in policy economics, taxation and public financial management, and public policy. He is a development professional with over 11 years of work experience in Liberia and Uganda. He recently served as Good Governance Team Lead at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Liberia), where he developed and managed projects in the areas of domestic resource mobilization, decentralization, pay and payroll reform, civil service reform, land governance, anti-corruption, and macroeconomic policy reforms. He concurrently served as Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor and provided performance management support to projects related to elections, media, civil society, conflict mitigation, and rule of law. Between 2016 and 2022, Thomas managed a portfolio of over $100 million of development assistance to Liberia. Prior to joining USAID-Liberia, he worked as an independent consultant and conducted research studies, evaluations, and developed project proposals for development agencies in Liberia.
