● More than 15 years of extensive analytical, research, policy, strategy, operational and capacity building experience in macro, sovereign debt policy and management, fiscal risks (originating from climate change and contingent liabilities, public corporations), financial and private sector development, corporate financial fragility, household spending and debt, poverty and inequality, cross-border trade, firm dynamics and productivity issues, working for the World Bank and other private and public organizations across economies, including Fragile and Conflict-Affected counties such as South Sudan, small economies in the Pacific Oceans and middle income countries like Bangladesh and South Africa. ● A deeper understanding of the financial sector issues in emerging markets and low-income countries such as Bangladesh and Ethiopia; co-led the evaluation of a financial sector development lending operation in Bangladesh; served as a Senior Researcher and Planning Officer in the Ethiopian banking sector, wrote articles on financial markets, and contributed to the banks' critical decision-making. ● Expertise in designing and analyzing national household- and firm-level surveys, including demographic and health, welfare monitoring, living standards measurement, agricultural and financial surveys, working with Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia. ● Years of work experience in data-driven results and operations management, outcome orientation, policies and strategies (at the World Bank and beyond). Managed World Bank Group's Corporate Scorecard, which tracks 100+ World Bank-specific and SDG-related development results indicators, including countries' public expenditure and financial management performance. ● Country analytical and operational experience: Bangladesh, Burundi, Cabo Verde, DRC, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Malawi, Honduras, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda, and the United States. ● Advanced research skills in analyzing cross-sectional, time series, and panel data; conducting econometric analysis, multivariate analysis, statistical modeling and machine learning with a wide variety of packages (Stata and Python,) and tools like Jupyter and Pandas drawing data from arrays of sources, such as the IMF's WEO, World Bank's WDI, Bloomberg, Compustat, etc..
