Summary

Dr. Rickenbrode has 10 years of mixed-methods research experience in areas of gender equality, agrifood systems, food security, climate change, and health. She has designed, conducted, and analyzed data gathered through interviews, surveys, and focus groups with individuals from Kenya, Tanzania, India, and the United States. She has also created curriculum and taught courses on inequality, research methodology, and applied statistics. Currently, she is a research and analyst consultant on two projects, one for USAID/GenDev and the other for a USGS funded survey. Her analysis and software expertise include inductive and deductive analysis (NVivo, MAXQDA), regression analysis (STATA, SPSS), structural equation modeling (Mplus), and geospatial analysis (ArcGIS). She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology with a specialization in Gender, Justice, and Environmental Change from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in Community, Environment, and Development (International Development Option) with a specialization in Biostatistics from the Pennsylvania State University.
