Dr. Victor George is a seasoned scholar and adviser holding a PhD in Project Management. His area of research anchors on value chains, rural development, business and project management. He has over 10 years’ experience in research and consultancy. He has carried out different consultancies with a number of national and international institutions including, FAO, UN-Women, ILO, JICA, USAID, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-The Netherlands, ITAD-UK, VECO-East Africa, World Education Inc, Rural Livelihood Development Company (RLDC), MVIWATA, World Vision, LEI-Wageningen, NIRAS, Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Fisheries of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Ministry of Finance and Planning and The Ministry of Agriculture of the United Republic of Tanzania just to mention a few. Dr. George has published a number of books, book chapters and journal articles in his area of expertise. Dr. George has served in managerial position for the past ten years. He served as a Head of Department of Development Studies for six years. Thereafter he was appointed as an acting Director of a newly established Institute of Development Studies for three months. Following a distinguished work to manage the new institute, Dr. George was appointed as a Director of Undergraduate studies for a tenure of three years (eligible for renewal) at the University of Dodoma from April 2020 to date. Dr. George is well equipped with managerial skills that include, strategic planning, organizing, controlling, budgeting and decision making. He is capable of networking with government and non-government officials.
