Chief of party for over 12 years on USAID-implemented projects in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia. Has overseen budgets as large as USD 90 million and staffs as large as 400 employees and contractors. Launched USAID’s SME loan portfolio guarantee facility and enabled USD 160 million in small business loans worldwide. Has designed and implemented innovative private-sector and value chain-driven development projects that increased productivity, market linkages, and competitiveness in urban and rural economies. Has conducted and managed performance evaluations of agribusiness operations and projects in agribusiness development, subsidies, and food safety for the EU, International Finance Corporation (IFC), USAID, and World Bank.
