Zaeem has 15 years’ experience working in the field of health and nutrition, in development and emergency contexts. He is a medical doctor with specialism in community medicine and masters in public health, and advanced training in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and in health economics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has lived or worked in over 15 countries, primarily in South Asia, Middle East and East Africa regions with organisations such as Save the Children, International Rescue Committee, Medecins Sans Frontineres and Aga Khan Foundation. He has expertise in health programme development and project management, health systems research and health policy in LMICs. He provides strategic direction and technical support to Save the Children's country programmes globally, with a special focus on child survival and health systems strengthening in fragile states. He is fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi, and has a working knowledge of French and Arabic.
