I have over a decade of relevant experience working in some of the most complex and fragile working environments across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. I possess demonstrable experience in strategic thinking and planning, financial management, complex procurement, team building and management and supply chain management. Throughout these years, I have developed an expertise in procurement, for which I have been deployed in Syria, Turkey, Nigeria, Liberia, Nepal, and India—all countries with poor logistics and challenging security situations. In my current position as the Director of Operations, I oversee the operational management of Mercy Corps Syria across 4 countries with 400+ staff members and 20+ partners. My department consists of over 80 team members with 7 direct reports. I ensure quality in support services across direct-programming, remote-management, and partnership-focused programming portfolios, using data and analytics in decision-making, and the establishment of creative partnerships in one of the world's most complex and challenging environments. As the Director of Operations of a complex country program like Syria, I need to be able to work well with others, be strategic in my thinking, and motivate my team to achieve common goals. My experience has equipped me with an amazing work ethic, persistence, and fundamental problem-solving skills that I can successfully apply to any role.
