Bryant Allen, an agricultural consultant from the Australian National University, said that high wages are necessary to attract people to work in high-risk areas like Port Moresby.
“It’s not a very nice place to be. A lot of these people are away from their families for quite long periods of time,” he added, as quoted by ABC News.
