When President Luis Alberto Moreno took control of the Inter-American Development Bank in 2008, he sought “huge change” in the way the IDB engages with partners in the private sector, academia and philanthropic community.
Devex caught up with Bernardo Guillamon, manager of the Inter-American Development Bank’s office of outreach and partnerships, at the 2013 IDB annual gathering in Panama City, to hear about how his office works with institutions outside the IDB to enhance the bank’s impact and cost-effectiveness.
In our video interview, Guillamon explained how his office has grown from working with less than 40 partners to now overseeing more than 200, half of them private companies and half governmental.
