Accounting Officer

About the role

The primary objective of this role will be to provide finance and accounting support to CEPIs Finance team. This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term maternity cover position.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable
• Manage Accounts Receivable (limited)
• Follow up with individuals internally to ensure timely invoice processing
• Support in month-end and year-end closing
• Support in preparation of internal and external audits
• Contribute to continuous improvement of relevant processes and procedures
• Ad hoc duties as assigned, including support to the procurement function

Education, Experience and Competence

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar
• General accounting knowledge
• Good understanding of Norwegian General Accepted Accounting Principles
• Minimum 2 years of experience from accounting
• Good working knowledge of the MS Office Package, especially Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong attention to details
• Structured, organized and flexible
• Ability to act as a team player in an international and dynamic environment

Travel and Location Requirements

• This position is based in Oslo (Norway). The applicant needs to be based in Oslo, Norway. We will not be able to support relocation for this position.
• A work-permit in Norway is required to be considered for this position.
• The international travel requirement in this position is limited and will most likely be maximum once a year.
