The Australia-Pacific Partnership Platform (The Partnerships Platform) is looking for motivated and skilled professionals who are keen to make a difference. We seek passionate staff who work collaboratively to deliver the ideas and advice that will help the countries in which we work meet governance and stability challenges. The Partnership Platform is seeking an experienced and motivated Administration Officer with proven experience providing the full suite of operational, deployee and administrative support for our Nauru operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, respectful, flexible administration professional with a keen eye for detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.

The areas of focus of the assignment are:

  • Providing comprehensive administration, operational and logistics support for deployees and Partnerships Platform staff, including orientation, travel coordination, accommodation bookings, vehicle management, and demobilisation support.
  • Providing administrative and logistical support to the Nauru Economic Governance Program and Partnerships Platform office, including office administration, facilities management, procurement, financial administration, and administrative support to Program Directors.
  • Perform office reception duties including greeting visitors, receiving deliveries, answering phones and managing meeting room bookings.
  • Supporting the Economic Governance Program and Partnerships Platform team engagement with counterparts in-country and provide administrative support in setting up meetings and/or events as required.
  • Supporting the development of networks and facilitation of opportunities under the Economic Governance Program and Partnership Platform including with government, civil society and the private sector.

This is a full-time position based in Yaren, Nauru. To be eligible for this position, candidates must be a Nauru Citizen, or have the legal right to work in Nauru and are currently residing in Nauru.

About the Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform

The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform program is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and managed by DT Global. It provides Pacific Island Countries with a suite of flexible, fit-for-purpose options that support broad governance and stability development outcomes. Services provided by the Partnerships Platform can include recruitment, procurement, grants, monitoring and evaluation, research and training, advisory support, and program design and management. Our partners identify the areas in which this support is required, and these can include climate change, strengthening public financial management systems, infrastructure, governance, economic growth and social inclusion.

About You

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, respect, resilience and adaptability, and a preparedness to work with limited resources in a challenging environment, this includes the ability to successfully build and manage relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you are an experienced administration, operations or project administration professional with proven experience providing the full suite of operational, deployee and administrative support. You have strong established networks and relationships within Nauru and high-level written communication skills. Previous experience working within the international development context will be highly regarded.

You will be required to demonstrate a strong understanding of, and commitment to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), child protection and the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), anti-corruption and other DFAT safeguarding policies.
