About the Role

Devex is hiring a Business Development Associate, Partnerships to support and help grow our global partnerships business.

This role is designed for a hungry, highly organized business development operator who wants to build a career in partnerships by shaping how leading organizations engage the global development and social impact community — through thoughtful outreach, creative ideas, and consistent follow-through.

From the start, you’ll support account management across existing partnerships and identify new leads. You’ll own the execution layer of the partnerships function: CRM discipline, partner outreach, and day-to-day momentum. Over time, strong execution in this role creates opportunities for broader ownership and a path into a more senior partnerships role.

You’ll work closely with the VP of Partnerships to ensure our business development efforts move forward with clarity, momentum, and discipline.

This is a global, remote opportunity with preference for candidates within a time zone close to Central European Time (CET)

This Role Will Include

Business development operations, systems & insight

  • Maintain clear, reliable systems for tracking actions, deadlines, and next steps across active opportunities, including accurate and well-organized Salesforce records
  • Use AI tools to accelerate business development work, including drafting partner outreach and follow-ups, researching prospects, and preparing inputs for proposals
  • Continuously improve workflows, templates, and systems to reduce friction and increase efficiency
  • Draft and manage timely partner follow-ups after partnership conversations, ensuring momentum and responsiveness
  • Review performance data across active and existing partner accounts and translate results into insight

Pipeline & proposal execution

  • Identify and research new leads and partnership opportunities
  • Prepare first drafts of proposals, decks, and partnership materials
  • Track active opportunities and support progression through the pipeline

Growth into broader account ownership

  • Gradually expand ownership of defined accounts or prospect portfolios
  • Think creatively in real time during partner interactions, suggesting relevant ideas across events, content, and thought leadership
  • Lead increasingly complex partner conversations
  • Contribute to shaping partnership packages and new ideas for events and content
  • Progress toward a more senior partnerships role over time

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales support
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve business development workflows
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities
  • Professional English proficiency
