Workplace
For the duration of the internship, TGH’s offices will be temporarily relocated due to renovations. The team will be based at another partner organization, in a location different from the usual headquarters.
This temporary setup implies different reception conditions than usual, but it offers a dynamic working environment conducive to professional exchanges. TGH remains fully committed to providing a calm, functional, and collaborative workspace.
The training course will take place at the Bioforce Training Center in Vénissieux Minguettes.

Founded in 1994, TGH is a French international solidarity association based in Lyon. TGH develops and implements emergency, rehabilitation, and development programs in water, hygiene and sanitation, food security and rural development, socio-educational, and psychosocial support. TGH currently works in 13 countries across Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Internship Overview
TGH is seeking a Communications Assistant to support the implementation of its communications strategy and strengthen its processes. The internship will involve participating in communications activities, including:
- Preparation of the annual report
- Development and deployment of print and digital visibility tools
- Coordination with operational teams in geographic offices and missions
The Communications Assistant will also participate in:
- Managing social media
- Updating the website
- Organizing events in the Lyon metropolitan area
- Updating the photo database
The intern will work under the supervision of the Communications Officer, in coordination with the General Manager of TGH and the association’s Communications Committee (composed of Board members and employees).
Main Activities
Publications and Materials
- Contribute to the annual report (data compilation, proofreading in French and English, follow-up with service providers, printing, and shipping management)
- Update and create visibility materials (print and web) to support operational teams
- Collaborate with headquarters and field teams to harmonize design and use of communication materials
Online Visibility
- Develop TGH’s presence on social media
- Update the publication calendar
- Create and publish content for social media and website
- Support regular website updates
Events and Public Relations
- Contribute to the organization and preparation of events
- Assist with logistical arrangements for upcoming events
Photo Database Management
- Sort, rename, prioritize, and organize the database
- Train headquarters and field teams on photo library nomenclature
- Collect and manage photographs from field operations
Community Life
- Schedule, prepare, and actively participate in Communication Commission meetings
- Participate in general information and exchange meetings
Profile
- Student at a specialized communication or audiovisual school
- Excellent archiving, organizational, and management skills
- Excellent writing skills in French and English
- Sensitive to themes and values promoted by the non-profit sector
- Ability to work independently and effectively
- Creative, responsive, and dynamic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe Bridge is a plus
- Experience with desktop publishing
- Strong sense of organization and teamwork
- Availability and flexibility
