Duties and Responsibilities
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) currently hosts Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), the implementation arm of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Technology Mechanism. The mission of the CTCN is to enhance the development and transfer of climate technologies for developing countries as they seek to achieve their commitments under the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals.
The CTCN assists developing country Parties at their request, building or strengthening their capacity to prepare and implement climate technology projects that span the technology transfer continuum. The CTCN key services include tailored technology solutions to meet the needs of the developing countries, capacity building, and knowledge sharing.
The CTCN is currently looking for an intern to support the monitoring, data tracking, data collection and analysis of various data and information emanated from its three key services: Technical assistance, Capacity Building, and Knowledge Sharing.
The intern will work under the supervision of a Programme Officer or a person designated by the Director of the CTCN. During their first two weeks the intern and the supervisor will agree on goals and an individual work plan for their internship.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
