Job Description
EnCompass LLC is seeking an E-Learning and Animation Specialist II. The E-Learning and Animation Specialist II will provide innovative approaches to design course platforms, e-learning courses, animated videos, and other learning products for diverse clients. The E-Learning and Animation Specialist II can work virtually with occasional travel to Rockville, Maryland.
In this role you will work with a diverse team of instructional designers, subject matter experts, video production leads, animators, and graphic designers to plan and develop professional-standard interactive learning materials using a range of authoring tools.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Essential functions:
- Work with instructional designer to conduct learning assessments including research, document reviews, telephone interviews, and focus groups
- Develop e-tools, e-learning courses, and videos according to provided storyboards and create your own as needed
- Create infographics, videos, audio voiceover, interactive simulation, creative text, and animated learning solutions
- Foster culture of blended and virtual learning with client and team
- Mentor team members on state-of-the-art virtual learning techniques and approaches
- Engage fully as a member of the EnCompass staff team, including participating in staff meetings and other EnCompass events
Position Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Design, Organizational Development, Communication, Instructional Design, International Development, or other related fields
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing and delivering e-learning programs for international audiences
- Membership of the E-Learning Guild or similar professional organization is desirable
Experience and Skills
- Extensive experience in e-learning design and development, multimedia production, LMS administration for multi-lingual and multi-cultural audiences
- Strong proficiency in Articulate Storyline 2 and/or Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere and InDesign, and LMS and CMS administration
- Strong experience in motion graphics animation (e.g., Vyond or other program) and proficiency in 2D or whiteboard animation highly desirable
- Deep understanding of e-learning standards (SCORM), accessibility guidelines (508), and can create e-learning modules to a specified brief
- Excellent visual design skills with an eye for page layout and graphical styles and are able to create images and graphics that support and enhance learning content. Strong experience using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or other software for graphics editing
- Knowledge of the principles of learning including adult learning and instructional design.
- Ability to work in an appreciative and collaborative environment
- Curious by nature; eager to self-learn new software and able to pick up new tech tools quickly
- Adept at identifying and framing problems, setting priorities, and making critical assessments
- Proven track record of managing training technology projects, including the management of voice talent, artists, and translators
- Demonstrated ability to create multi-lingual products
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills
- Proven ability to understand the needs of an organization and identify creative solutions

- Meticulous attention to detail
- Able to confidently engage with staff at all levels to define needs and expectations, collaborate on projects, and communicate results
- Fluency in English required
- Experience in the field of international development, or working with multi-cultural environments preferable
- Fluency in language(s) other than English and experience working or living overseas preferable
