Job Description

We invite Expressions of Interest from experienced GEDSI and Safeguarding experts who are passionate about advancing equitable, inclusive and safe development outcomes across the Pacific region.

We are seeking senior technical leaders to provide strategic oversight, operational leadership and technical excellence across donor-funded development programs to strengthen outcomes for women, girls, people with disabilities and marginalised communities across Pacific contexts.

Working closely with government counterparts and civil society partners, you will play a critical role in ensuring programs are inclusive, accountable, evidence-informed and compliant with donor safeguarding
requirements.

We are interested in hearing from professionals who bring:

  • Demonstrated senior experience in GEDSI and safeguarding leadership within
    international development or humanitarian programs
  • Strong understanding of Pacific contexts, including government systems, civil
    society and community-based approaches
  • Experience of leading the design and implementation of GEDSI strategies and
    mainstreaming approaches for donor-funded programs (preferably DFAT),
    including safeguarding compliance
  • Capacity to providing technical advice and capacity strengthening to program teams
    and partners
  • Experience in ensuring robust implementation of Child Protection, PSEAH and
    safeguarding related policies in line with donor and organisational requirements
  • Strong people leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • A collaborative, inclusive and values-driven leadership style
