About the Program
Australia’s Solomon Islands Resource Facility (ASIRF) works across the Australian bilateral aid program, as well as provides support to the Australian High Commission administrations in Honiara. The in-country ASIRF Management Support Unit (MSU) operates in a complex and evolving context, providing operational services to enable DFAT to meet its goals and objectives in Solomon Islands. The range of support includes, but is not limited to:

  • procurement and contract management of technical assistance in Solomon Islands and remotely, and support to performance management across all sector programs (including justice, governance, economic growth, health, education, gender)
  • provision of support services (including logistics and security management) for Australian Government’s deployees and technical advisers
  • strategic advice, management, and reporting, including program management (education), infrastructure technical management, monitoring, and evaluation


About the roles
We are currently seeking applications from consultants that are interested in being part of our ASIRF team of long and short-term specialists to potentially join the following roles in the Solomon Islands, bringing experience working on DFAT or other donor-funded programs. The roles in question are as follows:

  • Facility Directors / Team Leader
  • Deputy Team Leaders/ Operations Manager
  • Finance Manager
  • Procurement & Grants Manager
  • HR & Recruitment Manager
  • Deployees Support Services (DSS) Manager
  • Security Manager
