General Summary

The Global Technology Support Associate will provide technical support to our home office in addition to providing remote support to field offices located around the world in different time zones. The associate will be assigned to support laptop and other IT peripherals, AV technology, network and infrastructure and provide O365 applications expertise. This position identifies and promotes customer support services and can effectively communicate the connection between all duties and responsibilities with the larger goals of the company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and provide tier 1 and tier 2 support and solutions to software and application issues including O365 Applications and other corporate approved applications.
  • Analyse, troubleshoot hardware issues including laptops, printers, AV equipment and other IT peripherals
  • Administer, maintain, and update LAN and associated items such as WAPs, Meraki firewalls, and switches.
  • Detects and resolves connectivity problems and escalate where needed.
  • Provides AV support for meetings, including assisting and training end users on the proper use of the equipment
  • Promotes and tracks all incoming requests via ServiceNow ticketing system to ensure appropriate process is adhered to and followed up in a timely manner
  • Ensure that project systems are compliant with Chemonics’ IT Security Standards
  • Respond and action Microsoft Endpoint protection security alerts and escalate to Cyber Security Manager when needed
  • Manage and update devices in Microsoft InTune
  • Active Directory administration including account management
  • Contributes to and participates in project start-ups, including IT procurement, systems recommendations, design and optimization, and other initiatives to promote the stability and efficiency of the project office IT systems.
  • Oversees asset management with manager for UK office
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, network, or equivalent combination with education and one year experience
  • Language proficiency in English and French required - B2 - C1 preferred
  • Experience with Identity Providers (IdP) e.g., Azure Active Directory
  • Good working knowledge in networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN), preferred Meraki experience
  • Good working knowledge of TCP/IP and multi-tier network infrastructure, product and configuration experience, routing and switching technologies
  • Experienced with problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
  • Good understanding of ITIL and SLAs
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint as an online document management system
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and analytical skills
  • CompTIA, Microsoft Certification such as A+, Network+, MCP is a plus
  • Passionate about international development, experience in the sector preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of networking and system administration concepts including Active Directory
