ICT Intern

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in ICT support within an international organization, contributing to the efficient operation of development projects in the Horn of Africa Multi Country Office. The position offers exposure to a variety of ICT tasks and systems, providing a valuable learning experience in a supportive environment.

The intern will assist the ICT Officer to efficiently and effectively manage ICT and support to the Horn of Africa Multi country office.

The intern will provide support to the ICT Officer in managing ICT infrastructure, providing technical assistance, and ensuring the smooth operation of ICT systems within the Horn of Africa Multi-Country Office.

1. ICT Support and Maintenance

• Assist in the maintenance of ICT infrastructure, including computers, printers, and network equipment.
• Provide first-level technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of software and hardware.
• Maintain an inventory of ICT equipment and software licenses.

2. Network and System Administration

• Support the ICT Officer in managing the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
• Assist in monitoring network performance and security.
• Support the administration of user accounts and access permissions.
• Assist in the implementation of data backup and recovery procedures.

3. knowledge building and sharing

• Assist in the preparation of ICT-related documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
• Assist with employee training on ICT equipment and software application.
• Maintain accurate records of ICT support requests and resolutions
