Internship in the Conference Support Section (CSS) of the Organized Crime and Illicit Trafficking Branch (OCB) at UNODC, supporting countries in preventing and combating organized crime.
UNPAID, full-time internship (40 hours/week).
Working under the supervision of the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer, the intern will:
Assist in planning, developing, and delivering strategic communication activities, both online and for in-person events (e.g., conferences, expert meetings).
Develop and edit written, visual, and video content for web, social media, events, and other communication channels.
Create visual assets (graphics, infographics, short videos, reels) using graphic/digital design and editing tools.
Support live coverage of events with photography, social media updates, short video interviews, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the intern’s background.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher).
Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Field of study in Communications, Media and Journalism, Visual Design, Marketing, Public Relations, International Relations, Political Science, or related fields is required.
Required skills include:
Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills in English.
Experience with social media platforms, content management systems, and digital tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, or similar).
Ability to shoot and edit basic video for social media.

Applicants are required to provide proof of their academic status and demonstrate social media management, content creation, and visual asset production experience.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English required.
Knowledge of French or another UN official language is an advantage.
Additional Information
Interns are not financially remunerated.
Costs for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or sponsoring institutions.
Non-citizens/permanent residents may require appropriate visas and work/employment authorization.
