POSITION SUMMARY
The Annie E. Casey Foundation is offering a summer internship with its National Community Strategies team to support a new initiative focused on exploring national and cross-foundation efforts. The initiative aims to understand how communities are comprehensively addressing youth and community needs, with the goal of identifying opportunities to replicate or scale these efforts. The work will involve cataloging and geographically plotting proven strategies and programs, particularly those aligned with Casey’s priorities.
This hybrid internship will run from June 2 to August 22, 2025. The role will report to the Director of National Community Strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the co-design and implementation of strategy.
Support the collection of national and cross-foundation innovation efforts.
Conduct research relevant to the initiative’s learning objectives.
Plot results on maps and collaborate with the Strategic Communications team as needed.
Assist with planning and executing community site visits, including attending and documenting activities.
Provide feedback to program staff on the project’s direction and opportunities for improvement.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should be enrolled in a post-secondary associate or bachelor’s degree program, preferably with junior or senior standing. We encourage students majoring in business administration, public policy, economics, community and economic development, social work, or similar fields to apply.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Telephone, copiers, computer with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and OneNote).

The work is performed in a flexible hybrid work environment.
COMPENSATION
This is a temporary position compensated at a rate of $19–$25 per hour, up to 40 hours per week.
