UNICEF Chile’s Marketing Services area is seeking a Video Editing and Digital Animation intern to strengthen the internal team’s audiovisual capabilities. Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Services Officer, the intern will develop dynamic and engaging audiovisual content that effectively communicates UNICEF’s messages and supports digital communications and fundraising strategies.
How can you make a difference?
Summary of key roles/responsibilities:
•Video editing for campaigns: Create and edit audiovisual content for fundraising campaigns and local and global emergencies, maintaining UNICEF’s visual and narrative identity.
•Creation of 2D animations: Develop motion graphics, explanatory animations, and animated content for different digital platforms and institutional campaigns.
•Social media content: Produce short videos, stories, reels, and audiovisual content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
• Audiovisual content adaptation: Localize and adapt videos and animations sent from the global headquarters and regional office, adjusting them to the Chilean context and audience.
•Testimonial and institutional videos: Edit interviews, testimonials, and institutional content that reinforce UNICEF’s key messages.
•Graphic animations for presentations: Create animated elements for presentations, reports, and institutional materials.
•Audiovisual post-production: Perform color correction, basic audio mixing, subtitling, and other post-production processes.
•Interactive multimedia content: Develop audiovisual pieces that integrate graphic elements, animated text, and visual effects.
•Other audiovisual tasks: Develop other video and animation projects according to the needs of the area.
Necessary skills and competencies.
•Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.
•Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation.
•Experience in motion graphics and 2D animation.
•Understanding the principles of animation, timing, and visual storytelling.
•Familiarity with formats and specifications for different digital platforms.
•Basic audio knowledge (editing, synchronization, mixing).
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into audiovisual content.
•Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
•Proactivity and ability to work independently.
•Attention to detail and commitment to visual quality.

To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Be enrolled in a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree, or have graduated within the last two years, in the areas of: Audiovisual Communication, Graphic Design with a specialization in animation, Digital Arts, Film and Television, Multimedia Design, Digital Animation, or other related fields.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Mastery of the working language of the UNICEF office in Chile: Spanish. Proficiency in another language will be an asset.
• Have excellent academic performance demonstrated by recent records from the university or institution.
• Do not have immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and do not have other relatives in the line of authority to which the intern will report.
• Additional consideration will be given to any past experience and work portfolio.
