Program Background

The Australian Government’s Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) works with partners to deliver economic and social infrastructure that benefits Papua New Guineans. ESIP works across sectors such as energy, telecommunications, health and markets, and supports Papua New Guinea’s state-owned enterprise improvement program.

Cross-cutting activities are embedded into all aspects of ESIP’s program delivery. These include gender equity, disability, social inclusion (GEDSI) and safeguards, climate change and disaster resilience, and locally led development.

Role Purpose

The Management Information System (MIS) Manager is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining the program’s information systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. This role will work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team to enhance data collection, analysis, storage and reporting capabilities. This role will be crucial in ensuring efficient information management and supporting data-driven decision-making within the ESIP program.

About You

Key selection criteria for the potential successful candidate includes, but not limited to:

  • Tertiary qualifications in information systems, computer science or related field
  • Relevant professional certifications in database management, data analysis, or information systems management would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Management Information Systems, preferably in international development or similar complex programs
  • ·Strong knowledge of database management systems and data analysis tools
