The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager – Strategic Talent Engagement to join DT Global in our Melbourne office. This Corporate role will form part of our Talent Engagement team and will work closely with our Strategic Engagement and Partnerships team, our Corporate and Program teams. You will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment of personnel, and ensure best practice sourcing and selection is applied across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key to this role will be accessing relevant networks, developing talent pools and leveraging off strong relationships. With a positive and innovative approach, this role will allow you to apply your creativity in attracting talent and connecting with others. Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and source talent across the region and apply consistent application of recruitment and selection policies
  • Work closely with internal managers and stakeholders to determine resourcing requirements
  • Develop talent attraction strategies and proactively grow talent pipeline for key roles and other organisational roles
  • Build networks, actively headhunt and recruit talent both in Australia and overseas
  • Manage candidate rapport and communication, ensuring timely communication with hiring managers and all recruitment stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the various teams in developing attractive advertisements, sourcing new advertising channels and effectively using search engines such as LinkedIN and relevant networks
  • Supporting teams in assessing applications, screening, interviews, and all necessary candidate vetting and due diligence compliance
  • Provide administrative support, identify and implement operational efficiencies
  • Ensure our practice of inclusion, diversity and non-bias in all aspects of talent management, recruitment and selection
  • Collaborate with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders across the division, bringing energy and passion to all interactions.
  • Utilise our technology and ATS to enable our teams to improve experience and skills-based hiring in attracting and retaining top talent.

About You

  • You will have 3 – 5 years’ experience in previous talent acquisition roles, ideally having recruited in international development with a business degree or similar qualification
  • You are organised, solution-focused, with exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently prioritising day to day deliverables.
  • Flexible in your approach and willingness to adapt to an often busy and changing environment
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to capture and transcribe information accurately
  • Professional discretion and the ability in maintaining confidentiality
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using LinkedIn, MS Office and any candidate automated tracking system, such as Taleo
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
  • Work experience in a professional corporate or international development setting would be ideal (desirable)
