Here’s where you come in:

As the National Director - WV Papua New Guinea, you will lead the strategy and implementation of all aspects of World Vision Papua New Guinea (WVPNG) to ensure high Ministry quality and impact on the field.

To accomplish this, the National Director will provide leadership, strategic direction and support in the development and implementation of an effective National Strategy. You will also be responsible to represent WV PNG to all donors, project partners, other WV Partnership offices and divisions, local Government, Church representatives and non-governmental organizations, serving according to given Power of Attorney.

Critically, the National Director will be accountable for all of aspects of WV’s work in PNG ensuring the team provides high quality programming with impact in line with the values of World Vision, while contributing to the mission and vision of World Vision International.

Requirements include:

· A degree in international development, business administration, public health, social science, management or related discipline, preferably at Masters level.

· 10 + years of experience in leadership with International NGO.

· Pacific experience, and an excellent understanding of the political, social, religious and economic context in PNG is highly preferred.

· Significant leadership experience particularly in securing grant funding in a variety of contexts.

· Experience in running an office or organisation, including managing strategy, system, structure and organisational culture.

· Experience in managing disasters, development and social accountability as well as programmes that influence policy design and implementation.

· Cross-cultural leadership skill - candidates must have experiences working globally in different context and culture.

· Experience in working in insecure environments with a commitment to social justice beliefs and values.

· Experience in active participation in NGO/industry networks.
