Job Description

PCI Media Impact seeks a Program Manager to support our international programs team. The Program Manager will report to the Directors of Global Programs and work closely with members of the international programs team to oversee and support the design and successful completion of program activities as well as the submission of program narrative and financial reporting.

The Program Manager will focus on supporting our growing environment, climate change and forestry portfolio. You will be involved in the following areas and tasks:

  • Facilitating collaboration between the Directors of Global Programs, NYC program team specialists and international program staff to design, implement and evaluate our “environmental” programs
  • Tracking program implementation process to ensure program deliverables occur in an effective, efficient and timely manner
  • Support the capacity building efforts of staff and partners
  • Ensuring timely reporting to donors, which includes preparing mid-term and final narrative reports
  • Tracking and reporting on program expenditures
  • Providing administrative support to programs
  • Working with the program communication team to ensure programs are accurately and compellingly communicated on the organization’s website
  • Support fundraising efforts on the program and regional portfolio


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in communication, communication for development or behavior change communications
  • Experience in the environment/conservation field
  • Experience in the design and implementation of communication campaigns
  • Understanding of the context of developing countries and experience working in international settings is desired
  • Strong academic and creative writing skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a larger team, but also to work independently
  • Ability to facilitate and manage teams
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Adaptive management skills
  • Knows how to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other similar programs
  • Enjoys working with people with diverse backgrounds throughout the world
  • Ability to travel internationally

Fluency in Spanish and or/French is highly desired.
