The Economic and Public Sector Program (EPSP) is an Australian Government, AusAID initiative, a partnership between the Governments of Australia and Papua New Guinea. The goal of EPSP is to provide an effective and efficient public service that focuses on service delivery for the men, women and children of PNG. The program also aims to create an enabling environment for broad-based economic growth.
EPSP, on behalf of Department of Finance (DoF), is seeking a Provincial and District Treasury Consultant to provide accounting and financial management support and training with the aim to improve accountability and management of finances at a provincial and district level. To be successful in this role, you must possess significant leadership experience in a finance and accounting position, preferably from within a public sector environment. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Finance and a strong knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act within PNG will be highly regarded.
